Growing up in rural California, I was surrounded by enormous oak trees. They seemed to withstand just about anything—from the rope swings we tied to a branch to the storms that took a few branches off. These trees demonstrate the strength and resilience that can be achieved when you develop a strong root system.
While the roots are important for a tree’s success, the leaves and environment also serve a vital role in its survival. The leaves convert the energy from the sun into fuel to continue growing and produce acorns. Fungi and animals support the tree’s nutrition and reproduction.
Like the oak tree, people rely on a balance between steady roots and reaching branches. As a therapist, my goal is to help you find that balance.
